Why PASS?

I like working at PASS because of the variety of services we provide for our clients. I enjoy the challenge of working with a team to solve client issues and help our clients with their PAC needs.

About Me

I was raised in MS and moved to VA in middle 20’s. I graduated from Northern Virginia Community College with a A.A.S. in Computer Information Systems. Prior to joining PASS in 1996, I worked in banking and administrative services.

Outside of work, I like to listen to audio books and watch BBC mystery shows whenever I get a little free time.

WhyPASS?

I was a Reports Analyst working at the Federal Election Commission in 1996 and a former co-worker was working for PASS and recommended me for an interview. I am glad to say looking back on that interview, that it was the start of a great career in public policy and campaign finance administration. I certainly did not fully appreciate the intricacies of campaign finance at the state and local levels when I started but soon learned that there was much more to consider than just the Federal rules and regulations. We have expanded our services well beyond filing campaign reports for clients to include charity match services, web design and hosting, special client specific and provided professional advice to help our clients achieve their goals.

About Me

I am originally from western New York. I hold a B.A., Political Science, from Hartwick College and a M.A., Public and International Affairs from University of Pittsburgh. I have happily married for over 30 years and have been blessed with three lovely daughters. I have been with PASS since 1996 and I was promoted to President and CEO in February 2003 when we became an 100% employee-owned company.

Before joining PASS, I served as a Reports Analyst with the Federal Election Commission (FEC), and prior to working for the FEC, I was a high school history teacher.

Outside of work I enjoy taking long walks with my wife and our new dog (Cashew).

Why PASS

I was introduced to PASS and the industry they serve by two former colleagues that I had worked closely with at a previous employer. Knowing that I got along great with them, I was intrigued to learn more about the team and company they spoke so highly about. It came at the perfect time when I was looking to make a career change. It’s worked out incredibly well for me by allowing a challenging yet rewarding experience to dive into a new industry to expand my skillset.

About Me

I’m a Northern Virginia native and have lived in various parts my whole life. I attended George Mason University where I received a B.S. in Tourism, with a concentration in Business and Event Management. This enabled me to work in various positions prior to PASS where I discovered my fondness for traveling and experiencing new areas and walks of life.

Prior to PASS I first worked as a Horticulturist Apprentice for the local Parks Department assisting with local community events and programs for two years. I spent the next 7 years working for a Non-Profit and then a Trade Association in the Boiler & Pressure Vessel community where I honed my abilities in member relations, program management and financial/accounting competencies. This all lead me to PASS in mid 2024.

Outside of work I enjoy working on cars, exploring the culinary arts, or getting off the grid to visit various State & National Parks with my wife and dog.

Why PASS?

While I was familiar with PASS from working in the PAC world, meeting the team during the “fit” interview made the decision to join jump aboard an easy one.

About Me

I was born a Bronco fan in Denver, CO and attended the University of Colorado, Boulder earning a B.S. in Political Science.

Before joining PASS in 2019, I managed PACs for several construction associations and worked for a small political compliance firm. Sandwiched between my PAC and compliance years, I helped run a start-up mid-Atlantic liquor distribution company.

Outside of work I enjoy watching any and all sports, and reading the classics like the Code of Federal Regulations and the newest FEC campaign guides.

Why PASS?

I chose PASS because of the welcoming workplace environment as well as our commitment to providing excellent service to our clients.

About Me

I’m originally from Stillwater, Oklahoma and attended Oklahoma State University where I earned a B.A. with Honors in Sociology with an emphasis in Gerontology.

Before joining PASS in 1997, I worked on Capitol Hil for my hometown Congressman, The Honorable Bill K. Brewster. That experience furthered my interest in politics and led me to stay in Washington, DC after he retired instead of returning home. That decision ultimately led me to PASS.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our children as well as gardening and traveling.

Why PASS?

PASS came recommended to me by a former colleague. Just one week before my wedding, a position opened, and I immediately took the opportunity to interview with the team. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason, and joining PASS has been one of the best decisions of my career. PASS is unlike any other company I’ve worked for – a welcoming environment filled with dedicated, supportive, and hardworking people.

About Me

Unlike many in the DMV, I was born and raised in Northern Virginia.

Before joining PASS in 2015, I built my career in the Client Services field, working for a variety of organizations. These experiences helped me strengthen my skills in communication, problem solving, and client support, which continue to shape my professional approach today.

In my free time, I’m either with my kids or friends having fun and making memories.

Why PASS?

PASS allows me the opportunity to gain more knowledge in the world of campaign finance and compliance.

About Me

Originally from Virginia, I hold a B.S. in Mass Communications from Norfolk State University and a M.A. in Communication from Trinity University.

I served as an assistant to a former Member of Congress and PAC Secretary for Wexler & Walker Public Policy Associates prior to joining PASS in 2007. That experience left me wanting a deeper knowledge of the ins and outs of the PAC world.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with friends and family, and I also enjoy reading.

Why PASS?

I didn’t choose PASS, PASS chose me. Seriously though, I was referred to PASS via a colleague while I was working at the FEC. I interviewed for the job and the rest is history.

About Me

I grew up in the Buffalo, NY area and earned a degree in English Literature at SUNY Buffalo. This seemingly worthless degree perfectly set me up for a career in campaign finance.

Before joining PASS in 2001, I worked at the FEC for a few years. I am also a veteran of the US Navy from way back in the 80s.

Outside of work I enjoy travelling, photography and learning guitar.

Patty Young

Why PASS?

A former coworker introduced me to PASS in 2002. I found PAC management very interesting and rewarding. I have enjoyed learning about the PAC industry for the past 23 years I’ve been with the PASS family. Each day continues to bring new learning opportunities and I am very proud to be a part of a team of dedicated professionals who are very good at what they do.

About Me

My family is originally from Texas. I attended Long Island University and have a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Economics.

Before joining PASS, I was a Financial Manager for a trade association and also served as their PAC Treasurer.
